We keep our RV at Lost Lodge all year round! We love the location, the people there, and the boat dock. We keep our boat close by so it is convenient to get to and from the water. The atmosphere is great for the two of us and our three year old daughter. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

We had our fifth wheel at Lost Lodge for 5 years and loved every minute of it! The wooded atmosphere and private dock were exactly what we wanted. Having lake access, yet being so close to the city amenities like restaurants and shopping, was also important.

The Lost Lodge offers a beautiful, peaceful setting hosted by authentic and caring people. Mike and Dona do everything they possibly can to help you relax and have fun - including cooking your dinner after a great dayof fun and friendship!

We vacationed at Lost Lodge Resort for the first time this year and had a wonderful visit. The 3 bedroom cabin was very warm and welcoming. It was in a private location, which is very important to those of us living in the city.
Mike and Dona was exceptional as well. They made us feel right at home and attended to our needs immediately. We would like to thank them both for making our stay at Lost Lodge such a great experience. We look forward to staying at Lost Lodge again in the future.
Thanks again,

We had a wonderful stay. Cabin was very clean and beds were comfortable. The owners were very nice and honest. I felt relaxed and peaceful with the surroundings. I would high recommended anyone to stay here.
Wonderful stay at the Lost Lodge. Nice cabin, beautifully wooded/landscaped grounds, close to everything & the private dock with electric was my hubby's favorite. The "hillovator" was a bit scary but we opted to ride it (praying the whole time) instead of climbing the VERY STEEP hill of stairs to and from the dock! Overall great experience - we are already planning on coming back in the fall.

We stayed for five days in one of the 3BR houses -- what a nice way to stay on vacation! All the conveniences of home -- and it was nicely set up. We even slept well on the mattress, which doesn't often happen to us when we sleep in a hotel. The hot tub and shady yard were great (except the mosquitos) and Mike & Dona keep the entire grounds looking so nice and peaceful. The screened porch was a favorite breakfast spot. It was so nice to have a private boat dock, which we used a lot to enjoy the lake. It was also nice to have the town nearby, where anything you need is available on the "strip". We loved Mike and Dona's hospitality and do plan on coming back, maybe with more family members.
Thanks again for all your help (especially in helping me park the boat trailer!).

We have been coming to the Lost Lodge for ten years and we love it! Cozy, well equipped lake cabins with grills, picnic tables and campfires to hang around at night. The trees & landscape of the property make you feel far away but you are close to EVERYTHING! Drive ins, flea markets, mall, ramps, state park... Great location! We bring our boat at every visit. Good parking, great dock, nice playground for the kids! I am so glad we found the lost lodge!

The first time I saw Lost Lodge, I was in the area on business and decided to stop in to see if it really looked as good as the photos on the net. I had found it on the internet and decided to check it out before I booked. I drove in and saw a gentleman working on one of the cabins. It was Mike hard at remodeling what looked to be a very nice cabin. This was six years ago and he's still hard at it, making the place nicer every year. This year, we had a cabin that he had just finished putting in hardwood floors and new cabinets in the kitchen.
Mike and Dona make it feel like you're visiting friends when you come back. Always striving to make your stay very welcome.
That and all the beautiful landscaping that comes out of the greenhouses always make it so relaxing and nice, we love coming back. This summer made it ten visits over the past six years and we can't wait to get back again.
We highly recommend Lost Lodge to anyone who's looking for a lake cabin resort at a reasonable price.

We rented one of the three bedroom cabins as there were four adults and two children and the cabin had everything that we could hope for. I was amazed at how well the cabins were decorated on the inside and the lanscaping on the outside was picture perfect. The screened in back porch was wonderful as we would eat breakfast there every morning and enjoy the cool lake breeze that passed through. The hot tub was also a nice touch (which the children completely agree).
You could not ask for nicer hosts than Mike and Dona. Visit The Lost Lodge and you can truly see that they care about The Lost Lodge Resort. We enjoyed our stay there so much that we plan on returning every year.
Thank you for a wonderful vacation Mike and Dona.
See you next year.
We stayed at Lost Lodge the week of July 5. It was a very pleasant experience. We had a house with 3 bedrooms, and a hot tub. The owners, Donna and Mike, are very friendly and helpful. We also met some great people at the resort. They have a dock on lake that is very convenient to keep the boat right at the dock. If you are looking for a resort to stay at Lake Cumberland, this is THE PLACE you want to stay at..... Awesome time. Thanks Donna and Mike!

We love Lost Lodge. I have been coming to Somerset/Burnside for over 25 years, my husband was born and raised there and we did not know Lost Lodge even existed until I was searching on the internet for a place to stay for a week while we were visiting Mom and family. Mom's house was full. When I saw the flea markets I knew right where it was and what a wonderful experience. The rain on the tin roof was something my husband grew up with and he loved it. The cabins are so cozy and clean and all you have to do is bring your clothes. The grounds are like being in the shaded tropics. We had some of the family visit and they could not believe how peaceful and beautiful it was. Mike and Dona are wonderful and so hospitable, it is like you are staying at their personal home. Our next trip we want to bring our dogs, they would love it. People you run into are so polite at the lodge. We will definatley be back again and again, whether for a week or two or if we need a place for a day or two.
Our relationship with Lost Lodge began in 2004 when we were looking for a place on Lake Cumberland for our wedding. After searching the internet we settled on Lost Lodge and were married on their dock in July 2004. We have returned for weekly summer stays ever since. I would say the amenities offered and the friendliness of the people is what keeps us coming back. It’s very convenient to keep our boat in the water all week. We are able to bring our two little dogs with us. Our boys are able to get outside and play when we aren’t out on the water. The best part is you get all this for a very reasonable price. Come on down and join us – the water is fine! We’ll be back for sure.

My husband,daughter,son-in-law, 2 grandchildren and I had the privilage of staying at Lost Lodge over the 4th of July this year(2009).
I have to tell you ,it was the most wonderful, relaxing time Ive had in I can't remember how long.
The owners ,Mike and Donna, have a way of making you feel like friends coming home to visit, even if it is your first trip down.We wanted for nothing. Our cabins were stocked with everything but food and clothes.
The homey touches showed a true attention to enjoying what they do.The lush ,hand tended jungle and floral plants that fill the area make you sure youre on some tropical island and the closeness of Cumberland Lake and its inviting waters were even more of a plus.My family and I cant wait to go back.Lost Lodge truely is a bit of heaven on earth.
My wife and I and our two Boston Terriers stayed at the Lost Lodge the first week of June. We all had a wonderful time! The location is great, with the town on one side and the lake on the other (Well the creek coming off the lake). We rented a boat and had a very relaxing week! We also loved the tropical plants!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Lost Lodge. It offers the convenience of being close to stores and civilization if you need it but it is very private at the same time. You really feel like you've gotten away from it all. I enjoyed playing horseshoes and walking around the beautiful surroundings. Our cabin was clean and the hosts were very friendly and nice. I would definitely recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay there. I was there with the Rob Tracy party. I could not believe how great the location was. I loved all the great shade and tropical plants in the landscaping. It was so peacful and relaxing. I was so afraid of what we would find since we found the resort on the internet. I was so happy when we got there and the resort was so beautiful. Mike and Donna made our vacation unforgetable. I will be back. Look forward to seeing everyone again. Ron Finin
I've just found the Lost Lodge this year. It is peacefull and relaxing for family and friends to gather. Hidden amongst the tall trees and beautiful scenery you can't help but to feel relaxed. Its the perfect getaway for a trip to the lake. The people are friendly and treat you like family and i plan on using them as often as i can.

This past weekend was our first, and not last, experience at Lost Lodge. We hoped to get a break from our everyday life without breaking the bank. Lost Lodge was affordable and comfortable. Our stay was relaxing and fun! Our cabin was cozy and quiet and the kids loved the play area. I only wish we were able to stay longer.

Need to get away from the hustle and bustle of it all. Then Lost Lodge is the perfect kicked back no hassle retreat. Seriously it is easy on the budget and easy to see why folks come back. I know my family and our friends have it pencilled in as a "definate next time' choice. The cabins are quaint and neat and clean and "just right." It was kid friendly without the feeling of being at kiddie land. The surroundings were so relaxing and serene it was hard to believe I just happened upon it. I liked the name and prayed the cost wouldn't mean lack of service and wow -- I did good! I tell ya we had three kids with us ages 5, 6 and 10 and they thought the place was incredible. As did their parents and none of us felt at the mercy of either age groups desire for fun. We took daytrips to the surrounding forest preserves/parks and waterfalls, relaxing for us and plenty of space for burning enrgy off for them. To date the most fun and cost perfect vacation -- I think our yearly trek to Holden Beach, North Carolina just got some serious competition. Thanks you two for a memorable birthday and memorial day!!

My wife and I, and family, have been coming to Lake Cumberland since before 1970. We love the lake, and like watching the city grow (but not the traffic). About 4 years ago we found Lost Lodge after years of telling ourselves we would see what was "up the hill" by the flea market. Boy, were we surprised. We are hooked, and have come back with friends, and last year, 16 of us in a family reunion. Mike and Donna are about the best hosts you could hope for. The grounds are amazing. The plantings are Mike's pride and it shows. Both he and Donna are friendly and the place is just wonderful. I highly recommend it but just don't take the larger two bedroom cabin. That one is mine.

My wife, Shannan and I, have been coming down to the Lake for a few years now. Just last year we started visiting Lost Lodge. We made a note to trying it out one day while boating on Pittman Creek. We've brought family, friends and children. We're always met with kindness and willingness to help. Mike and Dona are wonderful hosts. At one point, we thought of buying a place in Cumberland. We don't even consider it anymore because Lost Lodge is like home. We're looking forward to bringing our boys there for years to come. It's convenient, great boat facilities and the dock is awesome.

I will confirm the positive reviews. Mike and Donna are perfect hosts -available when needed but never make you feel crowded. Quite a feat in the tourism industry.
Don't miss the daytrips to Cumberland Falls, the Arch and overlooks south of Burnside and Mill Springs. Mammoth Cave and Kentucky Horse Park are also great values and satisfy all age groups.
Definately our ONLY choice for a stay in the Lake Cumberland area.
